Vypin Island
Vypin is a densely populated island constituency in Ernakulam district, Kerala, stretching along the northern tip of Kochi's backwaters. Home to over 2.5 lakh residents across fishing villages, urban wards, and coastal hamlets, Vypin is one of the most unique and vibrant constituencies in the state.
The constituency encompasses diverse communities — from traditional fishing families along the coast to professionals and traders in the growing urban centres. Infrastructure, connectivity, livelihood, and environmental resilience are among the most pressing concerns for residents.
